Asian culture entertainment." Otakon is the place where those who love Japanese culture is going to mix it with other fans.
Not to be confused with the Otakon Comic-Con in San Diego. Comic-Con is Hollywood, and the fans are now playing a minor role in this conference. Fans of the comic book culture now complain that the Comic-Con has to be a long press junket. Otakon take place under the East Coast, is a conference that really for the fans.
The first thing will notice a new person is, the cosplay. Cosplay is short for costume play, and is simply the act of dressing like your favorite character. But the outfits are anything but simple. Many participants in planning their costumes for the year, and the lovers of detail put into dressing like their favorite character of the agreement would win even Tim Gunn. It is true that a Otakon cosplay contests, many participants dress, also because they can. Even if you do not recognize the characters, the costumes excellent.
